Hunger

Hunger

A Poem by Lunessa419

Hunger

Satiate the vacuum in me
Fill it with your living waters
Rinse my soul with the sea of forgetfulness
Dry my tears with the hem of your gown
I am here and I wait.

Rain upon me like drops of dew at dawn
Cause my spirit to bud and blossom
I will wrap my being around you
I will wrestle with angels for a single word from you
I am here and I wait.

Chariots of love charge toward me
Pierce me with love for my savior
Empty your quiver, pierce me until I succumb
Let my heart be your target, my center your resting place
I am here and I wait.

My cries will pierce all of eternity in praise to You
I will break free and fly and prostrate my brokenness at your thrown
I will reach for your emerald glory
I will beg for the balm of Gilead
Here am I….I have received my portion.
