Ghost

Ghost

A Poem by LuceGal
"

Insomnia sent me reminiscing on a lost love one night.

"

Ghost

See how midnight dwindles,

Darkness swallows the moon.

There the flickering flame,

Dances in the shadows.

By my bedside table,

A golden band lies unused.

It mocks our memory.

Just a ghost of what was.

Running through the meadow.

Dancing in the glow of night.

Bare feet against rich earth

Last, our final goodbye.

LuceGal
I've never really learned how to write poems in school or how punctuation works with them and everything. That being said, I put my heart into what I write and hope that makes up for grammatical errors. I'd love to hear your feedback or trade poems. Every little comment or rating helps. Thank for taking the time to read! -Luscinia
