The Loss of A Friend

The Loss of A Friend

A Poem by BeautyFromTheEarth93
"

I wrote this poem after my friendship with my best friend diminished to nothing.

"

You called me names and put me down,

Every day was like a torture,

Seeing you act the way you do,

Hearing you say the things you say,

It pains me more than you can imagine.

We were supposed to be best friends,

You were my sister, I confided in you,

I still miss those playground days,

Laughing and swinging and not needing much more,

But then we grew up.

It seems like you went your way and I went mine,

Two people so similar, could become so different,

It did not take long, just a few years,

But it happened and I have no regrets,

For now I understand that I am better off without you.

It is really very sad when friends act like this and leaves us with many questions in our mind.
You have depicted that feel very well with your words, great write overall.

This sort of thing happens--sad but true. The good news is that it may not always be this way. You may become best friends again later on, so don't give up hope. I could tell you a sad personal story about this, but I won't. Just keep the door open.
