sea of change

sea of change

A Poem by Lydia Shutter

DglsMcMffnPnts Studio on etsy.com

weaving nothingness into loveliness

time dances to the rhythm of an hourglass

suddenly courageous souls blossom

into a bouquet of uncharted territory

writing tomorrow's mystery

now is the time to laugh and love

to drink a cup of mellow wine with me

time will shift her rhythm, my friend

‘tis then our seemingly drunken dreams

will sail gracefully through a sea of change

Amazing Lydie, love this one, reminds of that movie Unfaithful when he quotes from the book,
'It is the season for wine, roses and drunken friends... Be happy for this moment... This moment is your life.' I don't recall who the author was but I was taken by that one, as I am your lovely poetry here. Brava!

Thank you very much, Mark. Lydi**
You create such a world of peace as a mystery of sea and fog approach... the enjoyment of the moment in the pause before the transformation. Now is the time.. yes.. the moment to share just before. Such a wondrous mood!

The first stanza tells how optimistic you are.You can write not only on romance but on all aspects of life. You are really one of the finest poets like neva flores and incidentally both of you belong to America

I loved the opening, this is like fine wine to be enjoyed in small sips! a lot of wisdom here too, I dread that 'sea of change' but without it we never grow. fantastic.

seemingly drunken dreams become sober realities...and often very good ones...

nothingness can change into loveliness...i really like that.

i like the idea, at least what i get...we can make something out of nothing.

I could not agree more, my friend. Why ruin the present by worrying about the future? So wonderfully said. All your writing finds a special place in my heart, Lydi. So eloquent and meaningful. I especially adore that last stanza.

Splendid! I absolutely adore the way you can weave words into a poem that speaks volumes to the most beautiful sounds of a song as it turns with the hourglass, or laughs with you as you share a glass of mellow wine - however you say it, 'tis always just so dreamy, and flowing! As we laugh and love, let us sing a song of happiness today, as we know not what tomorrow may bring! Life may change in the blink of an eye!

:) thanks again....I am a happy poet!
Love this Lydi.. "weaving nothingness into loveliness" This is what the poet does.
Sometimes I feel like that courageous bouquet and sometimes more like the insect that was trying to hold on. "Time to shift the Rhythm" I am all for that.. care to share your wine? Great piece. Rose
