turn of phrase

i was there
the voices of lovers rustled
like petticoats on brocade
we defied circumstance
while molding our futures
the rain filled wind startled me
but my cheeks were still flushed
with the vivid memory
of another century
a different lifetime
a special you

These four lines do not only use imagery, but also uses the reader's emotions to draw them into the scene, in which this happens. It is a great poem.
