![]() rememberA Poem by Lydia Shutterartwork by hessam the stubborn wind shakes its fist at us tonight scattering secrets on the table a suggestion of a summer storm is whispered while we tiptoe into the autumn of our lives albeit
under duress i lean into your nouns you inch closer to my disowned verbs all the while playing peek-a-boo with that dream we stored in our favorite denims all those years ago yes, it was when petals were still on the flowers the sky was always blue and “limit” was a word we did not comprehend but tonight the wind brings with it reality still,
somehow it’s enough for me knowing
we both remember
