Sing Me

Sing Me

A Poem by Lydia Shutter

Sing me the song of your heart

I will wrap it in multicolored silken threads

Introduce me to your soul

Every unique nook and cranny

I want to travel through it all

Let me be your shawl

When winter winds blow

And your shield

When the world turns evil

I come to you with poetry in hand

Meaning every written word

And even those I dare not write

So sing me the song of your heart

And allow me to sing it with you.

Romantic and fiesty at the same time aa the protagonist urges their intended partner on. A lovely little piece full of love and hope.

' So sing me the song of your heart

And allow me to sing it with you '

The message can be no clearer, all you have to do is open your heart and let the love pour in, you say so sincerely through such poetic craft and imaginative wording ☘🌻🌷🌼

Too many are afraid to show love. Thank you for your review, Tom. Lydi**
Well who could say no to that, he asks while freezing his butt off in a seriously cold cold snap of stupid degrees!
I think we have now finished with Autumn and are fast forwarding to Winter.

Why are we the only country where global warming means temperatures plunge?
But I'll keep your words handy to warm those cranny's, as well as the cockles of my heart.... Once I find out what the cockles are! 😊

Nobody likes a show off lydi! Brr! 😊
I wish I had such words back in the day when I was trying to make an impression on young ladies. Tell a girl you'll be her shawl and you can feel her interest grow. I'm not going to ask you what those words are that you dare not write.

to be wrapped in the shawl of love, protection from the cold of loneliness...
You do come to us with poetry in your hand, Lydi.
Even the words you dare not write...they are in your heart.

Thank you very much, Jacob. Lydi**
No one can take an image and bring it to life with an orchestration of words, like you, Lydia. It has truly become your signature calling card, that speaks volumes!
