My beauty

Someone you never forget

I can still remember first seeing those eyes
To me you glowed like a million fireflies
You were the definition of elegance and grace
Your presence always put a smile on my face

You used to say I gave you butterflies
Seeing you smile was the greatest prize
I could never get over your stunning beauty
And to always tell you was my biggest duty

But i could never have guessed what was coming
A sudden blow that would be crushing
Still beautiful as your eyes remained forever closed
But now when touched forever cold.

I still cry out your name in my sleep
A piece of you in my heart I shall always keep
Our memories shared forever mine
And in my heart an unseen shrine

Wow this was lovely. I love the line about her eyes still beimg beautiful when closed and the ending line about the unseen shrine were great! I almost feel like making it rhyme held it back, like you have so much you can express if you were more free to do so

Beautiful, just beautiful. Though it flowed just fine, there were some forced areas, but for the most part the rhymes were near perfect. Your words are almost heartbreaking, but so beautiful at the same time. There really isn't another word for it.
