With a simple touch of skin?

Why do I always smile

When you glance at me?

Why does my breathing stop

With something like a kiss?

Why is it with you

I can sleep peacefully?

 

Is my destiny

Intertwined with yours?

When our fingers tangle?

How is it your smell

Makes me want you more?

Through my days I've seen

Too many people to count.

Yet when we met for real

I was happy that we had.

There are many opportunities

For couples to meet

But when I think of it

They often do not happen.

 

And now I shall wait

To see what the future holds.

Will we be together

Or shall we be torn?

And while I wait I'll treasure

Each touch we've ever shared.

And every day I wonder
