I see that burning light in the distance
A flame beckoning me home
Memories of first nights
Trembling hands and a young man's courage

Do you remember long days on rivers
Do you remember long nights crossing bridges
Tenderness in a wild world 
Passion in a small town

The light burns in the distance
Growing dimmer to my view
I fear home is a dream
I fear I'll walk this last mile alone
