He Once Said He Loved Me..

He Once Said He Loved Me..

He once said he loved me,
like a fool I believed.
I gave him all of my love hoping that was all he would need.
And it hurt so bad when he decided to leave.

He once said he loved me,
was it the truth or a false story?
Blinded by love could the truth I not see?
Were those words meant to be forgotten by history?

He once said he loved me,
were we just not meant to be?
We had no destiny,
his feelings were locked away without a key.

He once said he loved me,
a severed limb from the tree,
a choir with no melody,
a ship without a sea.

He once said he loved me,
was there ever any honesty?
He left me with no dignity,
he left me with no glee.

He once said he loved me,
true is what I believed it to be.
I must have been crazy,
because I said "I love you too, baby"

"He once said he loved me,
was there ever any honesty?"
