RAPTOR

RAPTOR

A Poem by MICHAEL

Swoops up from the canal
perches in white blossomed dogwood
along the government center mall
Peregrine falcon
released twenty years ago
nest in downtown towers
feast on pigeons and occasional duck
3 1/2 ft wing span, two feet high, dive at 200mph
peering eyes, he sits just a few feet away, unconcerned
Impressive, beautiful
I look for him now everyday at lunch

And he doesn't even know that a poem has been written about him. What a wonderful picture you paint of him here. He must be amazing to watch.
Nice write!
