Trapped Within My Own Devices

Trapped Within My Own Devices

A Poem by Maya
"

Poem

"

Through the foggy morning window

A creature gazes back at me

Grace and beauty is defined

In the flutter of it's wings

It dances on the perfect leaf

Then flies into the golden sun

Leaving me in solitude

Once again I am alone

Trapped within my own devices

Forever inside looking out

When the silence consumes me

I'm sorry that I shut you out
