Equivocation Evolution Elation Exodus

Looking over the edge into truth,

Slowly,

And with unsure footing.

In the misty distance it waits,

And all around me.

There are,

Gray and blue cliffs,

With,

Smooth but melancholy rocks,

Birthed in the offbeat rapids of sleepless nights.

I see thousands of wind-beaten people.

Kicking at their own toes quietly in uniform shoes,

As shy children would,

Peering sheepishly and with whiskered caution,

Into the murky clouds that lay below.

The sky is not.

The sky is not clear,

But,

An antagonizing emptiness.

Void.

If you can imagine,

A mirror with no silver back,

Translucence without even the illusion of a bottom.

----------

A quick chuckle of music,

And,

A near silent whisper of light from below!

But a wondrous possibility,

That I fear,

Can not be made concrete beside me.

Not in my tired space.

A few souls bare witness,

However,

And honestly believe.

For they danced suddenly naked off the cliffs.

Graceful as rain heavy autumn leaves,

With the sincerity of readiness,

Arms and hands and smiles splayed wide,

Their laughter died as they fell.

The waves of worry and doubt,

Bitter confusion,

And weary hesitation,

Flounder,

Then cease.

Before the multitudes,

Once again,

Push for those dreary edges.

Not one person speaks,

Silent and hoping for the thought of a glimpse,

Praying not to be pushed that extra step forward.

The saddest of the clouds coughed,

Then a hole breathed open in the damnest' of places!

Right beneath me,

My eyes encountered an ageless celebration,

And through the maw I viewed,

Endless green hills,

Covered in song and majesty.

----------

Now warm flesh surges through and past me!

The ecstacy of bodies in trusting union provide me the strength,

That,

Leaps after my desire and rapture.

Other phoenix eyes catch mine as we sail slowly,

And without fear.

There is no direction save new righteousness,

So we do not fall;

We ride destiny's breath towards salvation,

The most petty regret,

Only found in leaving our un-convinced brethren.

We kiss the ground instead of landing,

Bodies painting the,

Plush landscape,

And,

Delivering us all into the dance.

Quickly becoming one,

We seldom,

But with hopeful obligation,

Shoot and whisper soft and warm invitations,

Up into the now,

Auspicious clouds.
