Rain is just the sky crying

Rain is just the sky crying

A Poem by Maddi

Rain.

Is just the sky crying.

For mother nature is so sad,

Not for us,

But because of us.

She wails in agony,

At the funeral of all the forests,

Dissipating into the air,

Thick with carbon dioxide,

She chokes on her tears.

She remembers each and every animal,

Some cruelly tested on, for our own achievements,

Some tortured,

Just.

Because.

And Just. Because.

People die,

Because more people are selfish.

Or more people don't like how others dress,

Or think,

Or believe,

Or anything.

How odd we humans are.

But we won't listen to mother nature's plea,

No natural disaster is loud enough,

To turn our self destruct path,

Away.

One day,

Tears of rain will cry upon this earth,

But it will be an earth we do not know.

Parched and dead,

Like every living thing.

And Mother Nature will be alone,

Once again,

To cry acid rain,

Onto our dead,

Dead,

Dead,

Earth.

Gee
Sweet. Mother nature must wring her hands in despair at the wanton destruction she witnesses

Few people have ever made this point so poignantly. Well done.
