Ode to Imperfection

Ode to Imperfection

A Poem by Madeline Dawn Parker

Rivers flow rapid

Old voices sing jaded

A million hearts controlled

By the very one mistaken

The sun sets over a valley

Hoping to remain alive calmly

What's so great about a new day?

Just twenty-four hours to live solemnly

A girl unsatisfied by flaws

Doesn't that explain us all?

No one is perfect,

And I wish to make it obvious in a life of scrawls
