A Poet No Longer

A Poet No Longer

A Poem by M.A.

They used to flow with ease,

mixing with the blood in my veins.

Now they lay idle beyond reach.

No longer can I be the Bard at the table.

Stringing together untamed words,
to weave colorful tales.

Ah, such a mundane task it once was.

Now I can scares bring together this poem.

When the words are locked-up. Good songs, good reading and if you can. Travel and test life. Revive the sleeping pen. I enjoyed this poem. Honest tone made the reader think. Thank you Madison for sharing the excellent poetry.

I test life still. If a old man can test life. You can do great things and you are welcome.

Well it all happens even to the best ones... Keep on trying and write your heart out, if we see closely life is itself a poem and we are reading it in our own ways to create it's voice... Just like this poem speaks to us that the poet is still the poet... Keep on smiling and keep travelling with your poetic voice...

Sincerely
Dhiman

I've lived life on the edge for years and more then I time or two life has bitten back.at times the price was high but the byproduct was some heart felt poetry.. Even by expressing doubt you've managed to produce a piece that caught the attention of others and that is a move in the right direction. Keep writing , even if it's about the most mundane

beautiful choice of words.
kinda like how genuinely you get yourself "licked" in such verifier verses of poetic life -- so gentle. systematic. captivating, & undoubtedly very high lychee. excellent. you sound more like a good story teller who betcha knows how to tell her story in "poetic" words. nice imagery here.
