Beauty in Death

Beauty in Death

A Poem by MadisonJR

Death is beautiful
The long stories of one's life

She was eighty two
Twenty grandkids
Found the love of her life
At twenty seven
Everyone loved her
Had a great big family
Many holidays with family
Her life seemed perfect
Full of love

Then you have the sad
But, beautiful stories

She was sixteen
Alone, sad, and hopeless
Her home life was bad
Always loved the wrong people
Heart shattered, mind lost
She had people that loved her
But, it was too late
She already hated herself
So, she disappeared in bright red colors

Finally free from all her pain
                             She found freedom....

Nice write Madison. So many are terrified with the thought of death, yet when one thinks about it. Most people have more misery in their lives than they do Happiness. The Buddha said to his disciples that life is mostly suffering, and this is so true. Most of us have so much fear in their lives. but they are still very much in fear of death. I watch nature and notice that everything goes round in circles, which suggest is the same as consciousness. Life goes on forever only the body and mind die. I liked your attitude on this ladies death, my time will come in the not too distant future. I see myself fading out with joy in my heart in the same way I live my life. I enjoyed your poem, my friend...Peter

It's all about living like you were dying - so the song goes. Death certainly brings it all into perspective, and it is up to us to get the most out of every day. The contrast between your stories is striking, and I love how you implicated the color red for her freedom from pain. Nice to meet you, Madison!
