What You've Made of Me

What You've Made of Me

A Poem by MaggieManipulation
"

One of my older poems. It isn't too great, and it's from a long time ago. For now it's just something to be put up here until I get back to my writing.

"

Never will I be good enough
I can't live up to your expectations nor your definition of perfection

You'll never be proud of who I am
Or who I will become

Self destruction seems to be the only way out of this Hell you've created for me

One day at a time
I'll do it
I'll destroy this Being you look at in disgust

If I can't live up to your expectations,
I'll die to fulfill your disgusting thoughts of who I once was and forever will be

We are wise when we learn we can't make everyone happy. What we do is our responsibility and our dreams. We will pay the price for success or failure. I like this poem. I was lucky. I didn't give a damns about other people opinions. Last line is hard. Better to live and be content then live in misery for someone else. A excellent poem.
