Heartbreak

Heartbreak

A Poem by Makeadifference

The one last phone call

The moment it starts to sink in

That devastating fall

Where to even begin

The tears you can’t stop

Not even when your alone

Worst pain you’ve ever known

Staring a hole through your phone

Words play again and again

Invade your every thought

A memory is everywhere you’ve been

It’s all a lot

Heart breaks get better

Or so they say

But I’m barely making through the day

Can’t keep my thoughts at bay

Shattered, torn, and destroyed

All I want is to hold his hand

All of our songs, play the band

None of this is what I planned

Memories haunt my every move

Every day, something else we wouldn’t get to do

Oh yes, and the emptiness pursues

Living in a constant state of the blues

Try to keep going and forget his name

Try to process and feel the pain

Bu neither gets me closer to the light

So I give up the fight

Please, hold this heart

Don’t let it be filled with hate

Trying to believe in fate

But it’s hard when we’re apart

A crack, a break, and a fight to be okay

Is all that you left me with now

If you loved me, how could you leave me?

How?

SIGH!
I feel this so deeply in my heart.
I always wonder and feel the same,
going through a heartbreak is the worst BUT in time,
it'll help us all to grow, but honestly, this was written with so much emotion and imagery,
GREAT write, Keep it up!
