Humanity and the Beanstalk

Humanity and the Beanstalk

A Poem by Malachite Rain
"

My first poem that I actually decided to publish anywhere for people to see.

"
Humanity and the beanstalk

A stalk of green rises and rises, wouldn't you say?
Has been growing day by day!
There is not an end in sight and it gives us quite a fright!
There are only perches to ease our plight.

But I will tell you
The stalk has an end.
Falling off is quite a trend.
But one day we will reach the end!

And on the end is a pillowy cloud.
And we will feel quite proud!
It is not the end, no no!
Then we must climb another stalk,
Another of gilded chrome!

I find it a bit humorous as well as imaginative for a first poem. You used the word end twice but no harm as far as rhyme goes. Not a bad poem at all.
