Young girl asking what is love? and how do you know when it is the right time?

"I love you", she hears it in the distance as it echos to her soft gentle ears.

A door close, the smell of subtle rose perfume fills the room along with her mothers presence. She turns and grasps her mothers tearful eyes and inoccently questions, 

"Mum? What is love?"

In shock, and lost for words - "Love is", as her mother wipes the tears of her cheek and sits beside her to hold her close. 

She begins to explain that. 

"Love is when you feel an abundant of joy

Love is when you feel speechless of words 

Love is when you can't explain what you're feeling for someone

Love pushes you to want and fight for that one person

Love ..." she suddenly pauses, blinking away the remaining tears - exhales a giggle and a half smile and says, "love makes you do crazy things my dear"

"Like what?", she asked

"Like!"

"Like, being selfish. 

Always wanting someones all to yourself

Like loving someone even if they are not truly yours"

A slience deafense the room, she hears her mother sniffling through her nose, squeezes her hand, inhales only to exhale the words to say, 

"Love my dear, is a happy thought keep your love for someone who makes you never want to give up .... on anything"

" So, who do you love mum?" 

With a bright smile, she answers delightfully, "I love you, my dear - only you"
