A Funny Story

love.

It's funny cause i don't even remember why i fell for you

maybe it was because you made me feel so special 

the way you looked into my eyes,

the way your hands touched mine,

your little tricks to make me laugh.

we never had the long chats but

being with you was always so short and sweet

i thought we had something special

but it was me who was seeing things differently

cause when you hugged me i was 

awkward yet comfortable , happy and embarrassed

so many feelings rushed into that one touch ,even if just for a second 

but for you it was just a cold hug.

And that's what hurts the most.

Love is itself quite a "funniest-thing" to "hearts" esp. the ones that're easily fallen for its cadburry vibes. Very interesting topic you've come up with... so touching, & captivating with words. Reminds me some good old days when the age was prime, and love was hopelessly... wild, and young... and so hungry, but also naive and innocent enough... easily fallen for beauty. I think this is a good emotion and an idea for a final poem. Great start, but I think you can push the envelope more. Try to focus on small concrete details and use images for the ideas you want to relay to the reader.

A funny story......hmmm.

I enjoyed the contrast between title and content in this piece. A nice sleight of pen to keep the reader in suspense.

And yes, love does hurt. More so when it is not reciprocated to the degree in which we want it to be. The upside of your write is that you have yet to discover the true warmth of a hug, and that is when you will really know what love is.
