In the name of our children

In the name of our children

A Poem by Yuki
"

A poem about the importance of our posterity.

"
The rebels had been gathered
And no one even bothered
Securing the children of tomorrow
Lost in the rebel's vengeance and sorrow

They were sitting in a corner
Would never be growing older
Their despair increasing
Their beloved ones deceasing

As the penalty commenced
The children put up their defense
Crawling against one another
Crying out for all their brothers

The world they knew so well
Would forever disappear
And all the precious children
Would crumble in fear

The crimson blood left a scar
On their hearts that had been thrown so far
Far away from security and love
Something they'd never again speak of

Something that happens every day
Something that happens so far away
Millions of lives are forced to leave
But somehow, I still believe

We can fight the war and hunger
We can win and then grow stronger
As long as we remember why we fight
Protecting everything precious in our sight

We shall win
Everything
Because we will do anything
If it's in the name of our children.
