Six Inch Nails In His Eyes

Six Inch Nails In His Eyes

A Poem by Marc James
"

Quick Poem.

"

A man with six inch nails,

in his eyes,

wanders alone,

can'tget credit,

nor a loan,

stumbling drunk,

on his way home,

the homless take pity,

suit ripped,

orange gunk trickling,

down his cheeks,

the rust tastes sweet,

as it folds between,

his lips,

he moves his feet,

home,

found tangled in sheets,

in a pool of liquid rust,

and bits of his brain,

scattered red against them,

rain tickles the windowpane,

and he thinks,

what a night...

what a night...
