Am I who I am because of what has happened to me?
Am I who I am because of what I choose to be?
Am I who I am because of what other people see?
Am I who I am because of the people I call my friends?
Am I who I am because of the heart that never mends?
Am I who I am because of the things we call trends?
Am I who I am because of my favorite things to do?
Am I who I am because of my favorite color being blue?
Am I who I am because of my things being new?

I guess so
