![]() Just DrinkA Poem by Margaret Marie Hubbard
You will never see my true self.
Never feel my true love's kiss. Silently, I will serve you. Eternally loved; my only wish. I'll listen to my head once more. Frozen, never putting up a fight. You waged battles upon my heart. A shattered warrior remains tonight. Placing others before myself. My head screams, "Just think! Just think!" Poisoned wine taste on my lips. My heart cries, "Just drink! Just drink!"
