Fickle Heart

Fickle Heart

A Poem by Marilyn My Bitterness

Open heart
Open mind
Open as she
Tries to open
A Fickle heart
And fickle mind
Watching you fall
Extending her hand
To be rejected in all
Wanting nothing more
Then to be at your side
While In truth she knows
There's such folly in trying
Valiant and strong she remains
Her resolute will shall not be bent
She continues forth in determination
On the winding path she continues intent
Benevolent heart and forever hopeful is she
That a fickle heart will break though shackles free
And by your side you will most truthfully require her
Forever to be.

most impressive. I especially enjoyed the way this piece sounded when I read it out loud. From start to finish, your words plucked some strings on my heart. I will have to come back to this later.
