The Color Blue

Blue is the color of the seas and the sky, and the flowers and the birds that fly so high

of classroom chairs and textbooks, of pens and pencils, and schoolgirl skirts

of paint and scissors and worn out shoes, and recycling bins, and sticky notes, and your smiling eyes too

For the kids at school, and other girls, blue is the color of our world
