The poet writes a love poem for English women.

For English women

Sanae, I tell you the most romantic things that I can say.

Darling, I promise not to speak any insincere words.

I won’t say anything unless I mean it from my heart.

Let me recite a poem about nature for you, sweetheart.

Or I could sing the thrilling refrain of an English love song.

 

I say the things that lovers say to each other in the movies,

But my words aren’t merely the lines of a screenplay.

The things I say are genuine expressions of my emotions.

Darling, I’m not a poet, neither am I fluent in English,

So if I run out of rousing words, I’ll just say, “I love you.”
