The Frozen Wind

The Frozen Wind

A Poem by Marlowe147

The frozen wind flogs,

a bloody greeting

from the winter traveling gracelessly.

And the icy fingertips brace

not as a sobering freshness

but as a chilled

sweat.

Nightmare drenched,

frostbitten and numb.

Falling and never reaching

what you thought

would come so

fast

Vivid imagery, I like it. The flow could use some work but the atmosphere and tone is wonderfully explicit. Good description, good poem.
