No Longer Silent

No Longer Silent

A Poem by M. Marson
"

The following writing is a quick message to everyone after the Las Vegas shooting on October 1st 2017. I dedicate this to all the people affected by this event. My heart and prayers are with you.

"
No Longer Silent
How can I be silent when innocent lives are taken too soon? How can I stay silent when my country is so divided? How can I be happy when the people around me are in agony and distress? How can I go on like nothing happened when everywhere I look I am once again reminded?
I am tired and angry at what is happening on the earth we ALL share together.
I will not stay silent any longer.
I will be louder than ever! I will use my voice to help my fellow friends and people who SHARE this earth with me. I will no longer stay silent when people are SUFFERING. I will no longer settle for anything I, or another people, disagree with. We ALL deserve to be heard. We deserve safety. And most importantly, no matter our race, nationality, religion, sexual preferences, or gender, we ALL deserve peace and love.
