Days Gone by...

Days Gone by...

A Poem by Honey-Bee
"

An Elderly women speaks of the days gone by...

"
Days Gone By...

Her eyes of emerald glisten
like the innocents
Of the first day christen

She speaks of days gone by
as if it were yesteryear
She then begins to cry

Holding in her hand a bottle
Filled with sand from  Hawaii
She speaks in full throttle

Choppy is the sound of her voice
Yet lovely, she then exclaims
She is her husbands only choice

She sailed on her honeymoon to Hawaii
On a grand ship
She then speaks of her husband highly

One thing she remembers
Is his cherished first hug and kiss
This all took place in the middle of December

He told her his heart was hers forever
and ever
They married and took vows never to sever
