A Poem by Mary Bosworth

My daughter's smile
Is twelve hours distant
But home
Is as close as the doors of sleep.

My son's aggression
is five hours away
But home
is always filled with peanut butter
and jam sandwiches.

There is grass in my Canada
Because I planted it:
Not for the passing day
But for a life.

In the catalogue of futures
We are three.

Sounds like a family get to gather in the home sweet home of Canada

While not my absolute favorite of your's this one is very sweet and sincere. While I do not have kids, I have a close relationship with my family and I'm very maternal, so I do feel for this one in my own way.

This one was interesting. A little peek into your relationship with your children and the unconditional love that a mother feels for them. Great expression of complex emotional family patterns.

Our children...our heart...our angst..ours no matter what. This is my takeaway from this work, best I have partaken of so far, of your writes. It takes me to how it goes with me and mine. A tender sweet and a touch bitter piece, thanks for sharing b.

What a nice way to create such marvelous paradox ..... The final two lines "In the catalogue of futures
We are three." are really striking and so speak volumes ..... Loved it very much .....
