What Are You Doing?

What Are You Doing?

A Story by MH

I am....

Dying- with each passing minute, each second, a part of me dies, disappears without a trace.

Regenerating- my cells renew, grow stronger. I avoid death.

Breathing- the action of inhalation and exhalation of air, an exchange of gases between a living organism and nature. It is an act which enriches my blood. Oxygen travels through my body like a train and delivers food to my cells. I feel nothing, nothing but a gentle touch of the wind.

I love- people, animals, art. The whole world makes my heart swell.

I exist- I matter, even if I am just a small link in a chain larger than life itself.

You go from the physical/mechanical to the emotional. And you end with an intriguing statement 'a chain larger than life itself'...that makes me wonder.
