Lower Decibles

Lower Decibles

A Poem by Jesse Lancaster
"

Something honest.

"

mumble
mispeak

just audible enough to hear,
brings on a relentless prodding
to agitate what I say until it
festers; forces it's way through locked
teeth, tongue and cheek
in an effort to become clear.
