We all make mistakes

We all make mistakes

A Poem by MattHeston

Pass back the pills, please.

Is there a reason

To endure your lies?

You don't understand

The pain I've never endured.

The tears I've never cried at your absence.

Damn me and my lack of emotion

But I don't mind getting played.

Pass back the pills so

I can undue the choices I have made.

All the screams you've never heard

All the love you've never felt.

There's always a reason.

Even though you had to get laid

I'll make damn sure

My wrist don't meet the blade.

But I would never undue

The choices I have made.

Your words are telling a story (which I finally got after teh second read-through)
Nothing can be worse than being cheated on, but then, if one does not have/show emotions then can they experience how awful it is?
A poem which (I think) can and should be interpreted in many ways.
Great work :D
