Claustrophobic Fear

Claustrophobic Fear

A Poem by MatthewE

"
The sun is rising,
Its rays draw near,
My courage is running,
I'm full of fear.

I know not what,
Today might bring,
I'd stand and fight,
But my ears do ring.

I hear a roar,
I hear a growl,
I hear a scream,
I hear a howl!

I hear such horrors,
They're such a scare,
Who knows what I'll meet,
It's just not fair.

Why can't I flee,
Why can't I run,
Why can't I escape,
This endless hum?

Oh what will I see,
Oh what will I meet,
I can't believe it,
It's time to eat...

My tummy it burps,
My tummy it growls,
My tummy it screams,
My tummy it howls!
