Sherwin it’s time to get ready for bed.

Pick up your room, his daddy said.

 

Use the potty and brush your teeth

Wash your face and wash your feet.

 

Now let’s kneel down and say our prayers.

But how does God hear us?  Why does He care?

 

Sherwin’s question made daddy smile.

A father loves to hear from his child!

 

He may be in heaven, so far away

But He stops what He’s doing when you start to pray.

 

He’ll wait and He’ll listen to all that you say

Then send beautiful angels with answers your way.

 

But what if I don’t get the answer He sends?

What if I’m busy playing with friends?

 

Our God is amazing!  He’ll get it to you.

He’ll show you His will and what you’re to do.

 

So be still and know God hears your request.

Trust in His answer and that Father knows best.

Simple, mechanical rhyming matches well with the child theme. The message is religious and that becomes a problem to evaluate because it often leaks over into the beliefs of others but the message is sound and appealing. Well done.
