Grey

Sometimes I think everyone just feels a little grey; colorless, meaningless, just an uninteresting, boring color that fades into the background. That's what I was feeling like when I wrote this.

There's a

Grey window

Showing a

Grey landscape

Featuring a

Grey neighborhood

Containing a

Grey house.

Inside is a

Grey boy

Who only has

Grey thoughts

Leading the

Grey boy

To only see

Black and white.

Every day this

Grey boy

Sees a little less

Color.

But in this

Grey world,

Is that such a bad thing?

I love the emotion this gives off. It tugs at your heartstrings and makes you feel strange. Love the repetition of the "Grey boy". The ending was also a favorite of mine; very insightful and a great way to end the poem.
