Midnight Walks

Midnight Walks

A Poem by Maylin, Rise
"

Poem.

"

It’s not about how fast you can run anymore

It’s not about getting there before them

It’s not about taking walks at midnight

It’s not about being hugged by the night sky

It’s not about hearing the whispers

It’s not about finding a place

A place to hide

A place to cry

A place to yell unheard

A place to lie in yourself

A place to be insane

A place to finally let your mind loose

A place with no judgment

A place with no rules

A place to be alone.

It’s about being alone

It’s about breathing in the night sky

It's about wishing it was over

It’s about the freedom

It’s about the hate

It’s about the love

It's about wanting to be finished.

It’s about control.

The which I have acquired none.
