Illusions

Illusions

A Poem by N3v3r_2_L@t3

Illusions of nights far away from home

cower deeply in my upmost temptations

your warm embrace clothes me in a sense of relief

soft gentle lips, replacing doubt, and fear of rejection

with transparent memories,

from nights long gone

My name passes from your lips

sending tingles down every part of me

shining down on my nightmares

are the luminecent glowing eyes

that drive away the darkness

that I once resided in

But those lips are meant for another

the light shines for someone else

my heart breaks for your other love

tingles turn into chills, deep inside my shattered heart

one last time I whisper your name

a ghost of a smile, a hint of a glint in your eyes

and then you're gone

To the one who helped break my heart

This is a beautifully written poem. Really touches the heart... well mine at least. Terrific emotion in the last lines.
Wonderful images in these too...

>shining down on my nightmares
>are the luminecent glowing eyes
>that drive away the darkness

Very well written.

"upmost" ??? I'm not sure if there is such a word. My thoughts linger toward "utmost" and perhaps check the spelling of luminecent.
