blissful ignorance

blissful ignorance

A Poem by Nancy

The kettle on the stove starts to whistle
Belting out sounds like a jingle
While we lay sprawled on the kitchen floor
It's shrill call, we blissfully ignore

A fun and very visual poem.
Quite nice work!

Sensual... I liked this one. When bliss has taken over, the rest of the world seems to melt away; even the shrill call of a tea kettle can become simply background noise. Great imagery in this one.

That is the kind of blissful ignorance I like.. lol. I love this simple but detailed rich poem. Well done, Nancy.
