Gears of Soul

Gears of Soul

A Poem by winter;lyra

Oh stranger
Hold these hands
Warm me to the core
Flame the forge and have me born
Once more
I hope you call me home
When I fall among the mourning ones

Oh failures
Why must you haunt me
Allow me to meet my lover
She sleeps tightly in peace
Let her be
Let us be
Set us free

Oh saviour
Breath in
Within
My sins
Set me ablaze
I must rocket launch
To the stars
And grab my choices
And revolt
Against the voices

Oh stranger
(Oh lover)
Oh failures
Oh saviour
Sing along

Wonderful and beautiful. I really like this poem. The first two lines had me hooked and it took me all the way till the end. I especially like this bit:
"Oh saviour
Breath in
Within
My sins
Set me ablaze
I must rocket launch
To the stars
And grab my choices
And revolt
Against the voices"

Well done, thank you for sharing, and keep on writing.
