meaningless wordsA Poem by winter;lyraAnd of all the words we spoke
Only one retained meaning And echoed in the sky we could not see but feel Carrying an embedded promise Neither of us is sure to keep Meaningless evenings and nights Blindly chasing after countless sweet laughs We've gone and restored The clarity within our hearts The sweet insanity within our minds Through the lack of meaning We're curing our souls But Dangerous and cold Are these roads we walk And flawed is the way we talk Either we make it to spring Or freeze to death I hope we'll be able to look up to the sky And see that word With eyes we've never seen before How many evenings How many nights How many meaningless words Until we can afford meaning Until we can see that word I ask of you Lover Have patience © 2016 winter;lyra |
