A Love Story

A Love Story

A Poem by winter;lyra

Youth's faint light
She suppressed it all into a seductive spark
Then expressed it's flame within my forge
She spoke to me in British
And danced to me in Spanish
She told me she had lost track of time
She told me she was a mess and needed a place to stay
My arms betrayed my core and became warm for the night
The night was long and that was when
I started to lose track of time as well
The city lights were gone
The stars got closer
The moon came along and sang to us
We fell asleep to the lullaby
On each other's arms
On each other's care
On each other's trust
On each other's time
We woke up the next day
And once more we spoke and danced
And the moon again came and sang
And so on...

But then
My ecstasy took its tool and left me
How many years have passed?
"Who are you?" She asked
My Dolores
My one love story
How many days have you given me
How many days have I been stricken
With those eyes and with that tone
She worded thoughts I dare not to remember
How long has it been?
No my love pardon me
Let us speak and dance
I took her arm
She shivered in pain
Fell to the ground
I lend her my  hand
She trembled in fear
So my eyes met hers
And so I saw the reflection of an old friend
My Keeper
My Guard
My Knight
The monster within my core
When did I get so careless
When did you escape?
My love!
This is not me
My fire!
Where
Where have you gone?
Where are you?
I looked for her
Tirelessly
On the first day
The city lights returned
On the second day
The stars and the moon abandoned me as well
On the third day
I was old and exhausted
On the fourth day
I remembered my name and was again myself
On the fifth day
I promised I would never fall in love again
