glittering eyes on the walls

glittering eyes on the walls

A Poem by winter;lyra

All that lives
All that spins
Around me
Around my mind
All which knows and moves and storms and pursues me in my sleep
All those creatures without form
Lord I do not wish to die in a dream
Because if I do
What will be left of me?
How they twist
Profane how they swarm around in my bedroom
Glittering eyes in the walls
Trembling as in delight of my soul
They prey on me...They prey on me I tell you!
This started so peacefully
I only wished to make peace with the voices
No
I have been betrayed
And soon slayed if I don't act
They know
They know of my madness
Yet they're oblivious of my sanity
And sanity relieves me from my madness which they breed on
I will step out this bed
I will step on the danger zone and negate their existance
I am the only one this island

Winter, I really enjoyed your poem. Your words easily drew great images. Your writing was clever and creative. It had sound balance and flowed nicely. Good job.
Blessings,
