It's Far Too Late

It's Far Too Late

A Poem by Megan Hahn
"

A short haiku about the world ending.

"

They swore it would pass,

It was just another war,

The third World War.

Humanity can’t help it,

It’s in our nature to fight,

To kill each other.

But where will it end,

When will we see what we’ve done,

How far we’ve gone.

Blood covers the ground,

There is no more room in Hell,

Bodies fill the seas.

There are few living,

Walking around mindlessly,

Their minds still in shock.

Our world is broken,

It will never be the same,

It is far too late.
