The Burned Man

The Burned Man

A Poem by Megan Hahn
"

A ghost story based off Fallout: New Vegas. You don't have to play the game to enjoy the haiku.

"

Some say he still lives,

Some say he haunts this canyon,

Still covered in flames.

You’ll smell his flesh,

You’ll see his eyes, filled with hate,

Then it’s judgment day.

If you curse Caesar,

You’ll live, if you worship him,

Say your final prayer.

Some say he’s just lost,

Unable to return home,

Others say revenge.

Believe which you like,

But I warn you: he’s coming,

So hold your gun near.
