Gone

Gone

A Poem by Megan
"

Make of this what you will, it could probably fit more than one scenario.

"

Lies.

Rage burns in your eyes.

I can see it,

Feel it.

Wrong.

You scream at me.

The truth unfolds,

You deny the facts.

Pain.

It rips your heart in two.

Realizing your worst fear came true,

You cry.

Smack.

You throw yourself against the walls.

Hurting everyone around you,

Weakening.

Finally.

You collapse in a heap.

Sobbing openly,

"I loved you."

I really like this one, it has a very jagged, uneasy tempo and unusual flow which leaves the reader feeling mournful and uncomfortable.
